Ponies

Some friends of ours have some ponies...here is Calista at their place, with the ponies. She was a little scared of them. She thought they wanted to eat her. That's why she's sitting like that, but it made for an adorable shot.

Edited in Picnik with the Holga-ish effect (black and white with red filter), softened, slight a sepia tone and a soft matte added.

More Focal Black and White...

I love this tree. It's perfect! That's all I can say.

This is the gate to a very beautiful home that the owner so graciously allowed me to shoot. More photo's of the home in a later post. I was blessed to happen upon this one!

This home reminds me of Mexico. I call the second photo "The Red Door".

Focal Black and White

Here is one photograph of my daughter that I absolutely love. The lighting was extraordinary and her expression is pricless. When I took this picture I didn't know that it would turn out this good. It was just one of those accidental jems. The photo on the bottom I have edited focal black and white. I haven't bought a good picture editing program yet. The only one I have right now is that free one you can download from the web: Picasa. The focal black and white feature on Picasa only gives you a circular area to select with. Eventually I'd like to get a program that lets you draw around edges and also lets you select more than one area to keep color. Right now I can't do eyes, unless the photo is a person's side view, because I would need to be able to select two areas. If anyone knows of a free program, for now, that does these things please leave a comment on this entry letting me know where to find it. I would really appreciate it. Anyway, for now, this is the best I can do...just blur the edges of my selection...so it's harder to see that I can't select around the specific shape of the flower. If I had a better program, I would have probably left her lips in color as well.

Beyond Editing

These are edited with a deep contrast of shadow and light...
I love the composition of these photos. I love the brick.

State of Delaware

Beautiful scenery in this state...

Chute D'eau

(Water Fall)
I just love the definition of the water dropplets in this shot.

Seagulls

I took my daughter to this park and after we fed the seagulls they were not shy at all. It was the perfect opportunity to get some awesome pictures!

Sepia tone collection

Here are some of my favorite photographs done in sepia tone:

Amish buggy on a street in Delaware...

Independance Day 2007

Calista was eighteen months in these pictures. I took them at two different parks where we live.

Some of Nature

I took these with my parent-in-laws' camra. They have the date feature set on their camra which I was unaware of until after I took the pictures and now there's no way I can remove the date. But I loved how they turned out.
